Should the safe zone experience be lackluster, many will just quit and then they would bring no benefit to the world of Albion whatsoever. If that experience is good, people will eventually transition into the PvP areas of the game. Read more on how we will continue to improve the safe zone experience. This should be achieved by focusing on the strengths of Albion Online: building up your character, gathering and crafting, participating in the player-driven economy, get your player island and farm – that sort of things. The Safe Zone experience in Albion Online should be interesting and challenging enough to keep people hooked for the long term. Thus they build the foundation for the game’s population. They can only do that if they stay in the game long enough though. And eventually „graduate“ to doing PvP more often. With them staying in the safe areas, they tend to accumulate a surplus of gear – which they then often carry into the PvP zones to try that out. Why you ask? They create supply and demand on the player-driven market. The huge number of safe zone players provides the fundamental basis for the game’s hardcore PvP elements to work. Yet, in EVE Online the majority of the players play in the equivalent of Albion Online’s Green Zone. The most popular Sandbox MMORPG of our time is without a doubt EVE Online. With Albion Online, our goal is to create a hardcore Sandbox MMORPG with full loot PvP and a fully player driven economy. Casual“, to which we want to present our stance here.
